My Name is Cool by Antonio Sacre- A Review by BB

HolaHolaHola My Beautifuls!!

Today I want to introduce, share, laugh with you about Antonio Sacre.  Sr. Sacre aka Señor Antonio Bernardo Magoo Sacre, Papito Futinguito Coquito, El Goo.  Queeee??? Ju So Fonii !!! Por supuesto que no, of course his name isn't that- it's even longer. But you can always shorten it to:

Thanks to a HispanicizeWire Press Release about the book, Babushka had to read it.  Vamanos people, with the title ‘My Name is Cool: Stories From a Cuban-Irish-American Storyteller’ era un given. Not only had I found a kindred spirit, his abuela lived in Little Havana near La Tata! So besides the multicultural, 1st generation, not speaking Spanish 'till highschool, baby boomer laso, our grandmas came from the same place- twice! Small mundo right? Bueno, it's a small book too- but full of big laughs, and great memories.

But not only is Antonio a writer, he's a performer, and a believer in bilingualism and the power it can bring to our children.  In his performances he combines his talents as he delights and enlightens his audiences.

Babushka hopes to meet Cool one day (his real full name is in chapter 5), but for now reading his tales will make me laugh and be even prouder of my mescla.  As BB stated before, it's a little book with great stories and memories.  Ok si, maybe a bit exaggerated, but he is a storyteller, y besides- he can't help it, he's Cubano.

Babushka Besos a todos.  Cuidensen.

P.S.  BB emailed the publishers the very same day of the press release and was fortunate to have a PDF sent to me.
This is Babushka's opinion on the book and it's author-who by the way, lives up to his name.

P.P.S.
