Don't know about y'all but BB's still digesting Thanksgiving Dinner. Quee?? Ok si, JU SO FONII maybe Babushka's being Cuban here and slightly exaggerating. It wasn't the dinner, it was the 2nd helping of pumpkin pie that did me in. Oh, but the delicious cafecitos afterward definitely helped round out that wonderful meal! As you well know, BB is always thankful for her familia and her profession-blogging. The chances Babushka can turn them into a Twofer the blessing is doubled. These double blessings make for lifelong memories, impressions, and lessons. I'm counting on this next adventure to be exactly that for La Princesa, my granddaughter. Because of her autism,she doesn't join us in many shows. We really don't know how she'll react to the loud noises and sudden movements. However, if there's one thing we do know is her love of music and dance. BB also knows that mi querida nieta has the "magic power" of killer memory and answering questions correctly w/the dialogue of a tv program or video she's seen, y that she also understands the essence of people and things. For this reason Babushka will take her to see Amaluna. Gracias to the kind folks of Cirque du Soleil, she will experience the joy of a live performance and hopefully the message of female vitality & empowerment.

Amaluna invites the audience to a mysterious island governed by Goddesses and guided by the cycles of the moon. Their queen, Prospera, directs her daughter's coming-of-age ceremony in a rite that honors femininity, renewal, rebirth and balance which marks the passing of these insights and values from one generation to the next.
In the wake of a storm caused by Prospera, a group of young men washes ashore the island, triggering an epic and emotional story of love between Prospera's daughter and a brave young suitor. But theirs is a love that will be put to the test and the couple must face numerous demanding trials before they can achieve mutual trust, faith and harmony.

Amaluna is also the name of the mysterious island where this magical story unfolds.

This week we celebrate Thanksgiving here in the US, and Babushka is sooo very thankful to live in this country, be blessed with the people in my life, and the countless moments of abundance I've had. For that reason I have joined with Macy's in their Heart of Haiti program, to give back to those who haven't been as fortunate.

Five years ago this little girl was born and BB's world would never be the same.
Almost Five years ago Haiti was hit with a devastating earthquake,
and their world would never be the same.

Like my granddaughter La Princesa, Haiti is also developing, learning to stand on its own.
Pero tambien como mi nieta, like La Princesa, Haiti needs help in doing so.

Babushka was given the Blue Circle vase to show and share here, and to say it is stunning is an understatement. The quality is buenisimo, the colors rich and bold. A treasure to wake to every morning; it's a true work of art in my bedroom. Quee?? Ok si, JU SO FONII, BB's a work of art too. Actually, as I said in the Oprah post, this vase reminds me of all the beauty in the world, and how Babushka can play a very important part in it.
And you My Beautifuls can be a very big part of it too.

Gracias to +Feld Entertainment and Bloggin' Mamas, Babushka was able to attend the Marvel Universe Live show at the +BB&T Center in Sunrise. Not only did BB attend, but I had the whole family with me! Nowadays it's very hard for familias to get together unless it's a special occasion.The different tastes, distance, work/school schedules make it very difficult, PERO it appears the chance to see Avengers in person was worth any sacrifices, thus making it a very special occasion indeed!
It took almost 2 hours for the Miami Mob, and BB had left Little Havana at 2:30- almost 4 hours (tale will be told later), but we all arrived. All 4 Grandsons, +babushkas bebe and @IamPugilism , my son MAC and DIL. You can't really see it, but my son's gang all had on Avengers shirts under their sweaters and of course Dr. J had to wear his Captain Adorable bib! Y como lo gozaron- they soaked up every second being in the Marvel Universe, and this was only the pre-show! A very rare memory indeed, all together for a live show.
And then- the actual show!!
Quick Plot share- Loki comes to take over the Earth.Naturally Thor, Ironman, Spiderman, Black Widow, Bruce Banner, and Captain America take the first line against him. But Loki has incorporated many of the super villains to battle for him. Green Goblin,Doctor Octopus,Hydra, just one group of many. Luckily there are many more super heroes too. The battles are many, but only one group can win...
My Beautifuls, there were high tech video tracks, motorcycle stunts, and there was even humor!
Oh si, humor!
There was a moment after Spiderman and Thor defeated the Green Goblin, that Spidey exclaimed
it was a good selfie moment. To this, Thor said he had a Tweety account.

Being born in the US I don't have the bittersweet memories of the island that my father and La Tata have, so I'd like to see Cuba from someone who loves her as she is, not as she was or remembered to be. To see her essence from a non native, a stranger who sees with "los ojos del corazon", the beauty in all her parts, oh what a gift that is My Beautifuls!
This gift can be ours- but we have less than 48 hours to make it so.

Can you believe Thanksgiving is almost here? The days till Black Friday and Christmas have long been on countdowns; you stressing it yet? Y'all know Babushka's all about adventure, pero BB's more about living stress free. Esta vieja fighting any lines or such for presents? JU SO FONII!!! Matter of fact, ya my list is done.

The pic in the middle- BB's daily dilemma and a clue to the humor in the movie. Without giving away the movie, you know there's always some sadness for the characters in Disney movies to overcome, and this is no exception. Matter of fact, though it's not quite Bambi, it does warrant hankies, so consider yourself warned. But that makes the happy even happier right??!!?? You know what also makes the happy even happier?? More Big Hero 6!!! A few days later we were invited to a press junket with Genesis Rodriguez, the voice behind HoneyLemon in the movie. She was un encanto. A dear, down to Earth, buena gente, good people.
We were allocated one question each- but actually, Genesis was so nice it was like a group of friends just chatting. Babushka asked: What part of yourself do you see in Honey Lemon?
"Everything! The only difference is maybe she’s two octaves higher than me. She is so happy, I’ve never been so happy for such a long time. I went into the room, acted like a silly person, and went out of the room and I couldn’t believe I was working, that was so much fun. It’s just not fair to get paid for that sort of thing! It is a gift for me to be giving a Disney character to generations. Disney has always been a part of my life, and has shaped my life. It teaches me about everything magical and innocent and about hope and love, all these wonderful themes have been given to me as a child, and to be able to give that back is just amazing.
Honey Lemon wasn’t written as Latina, but I was able to put a lot of my personality in there. The way she says “Hiro”, she pronounces it in Spanish, she wants to call him in an endearing way, de cariño, and she expresses herself a certain way. I was allowed to put some of myself in there, and that’s the biggest blessing."

This was the tweet I shared with y'all in Part 2 of this series. The reason I didn't attend day 2 of Oprah's #LifeYouWantMIA weekend event - PicaPica's 8th Birthday.
Being a chip off the old Babushka, my grandson decided for a twofer. He combined his birthday- 10/25 with Halloween. It really was a spooktacular combo. There were ghouls and ghosts.
Games & Good Eats
But mostly, there was a good time between family & friends.
Matter of fact, such a good time was had, that The Trio all stayed over.
And that My Beautifuls, that my children should so enjoy each other,
that they continued the fiesta until the morn...
THAT surpassed anything Oprah could have said.

After 2+ months in Miami, BB tries to summarize the many blessings encountered. Of course I can't do it all justice, and without pics,notes,brochures, the memory isn't coming up with todo, so before BB forgets, let's start with the last week. Quee?? JUSOFONII Ok si, Babushka does usually go backwards and against the norm doesn't she?? Pero you know what? That's what Oprah says makes us special, being true to ourselves. And I heard that straight from her. Oh Si BB did!!!
Gracias to the wonderful world of Orgullosa, the P&G division for Latinas, Babushka was able to attend Oprah's "The Life You Want " event in Miami. On to OTown BB went. With sombrilla in hand and bus pass ready, Sweetie & BB were set to experience the world of O.
